Hello, I have 8394 ranking in VIT, which streams am I eligible for. Can I get mechanical, CSE or Electronics and Comm.?

ALso I have a 1510 rank in MIT, what do you say for VIT v/s MIT, which college would be better and where would I get a better course/course of my choice?

ECE and CSE will be a little difficult to get. It depends on the availability of seats at that time. I can assure you that you will get electrical or mechanical for sure

Hello,

For your ranking it is little difficult to get ECE CSE as the students with higher rankings often go for these branches.

In case you belong any backward castes then you can get them easily. Otherwise, you will get electrical, mechnical and IT easily for your ranking. they are not bad options for a good career either.

Hello,

You can easily get seats in bio streams for your ranking

You can go for Biotech Engg, Biomedical Engg, Chemical Engg...

As per me you can opt either Biotech or Biomedical as they are interesting and lots of research works awaiting for you if you are done with any one of these.

Hello,

As per your ranking you will be eligible for mechanical but for CSE and ECE it is a little difficult.

Considering your ranking in MIT, it is better to prefer MIT as in that college you will get the branch you deserve and you will not have any future regrets.

If you have plans of studying abroad like doing MS or MBA, then you can go for VIT as it is more recognised than MIT.

MIT is a government organisation and your expenditures will be less compared to VIT which is private.

Hello,

As your ranking is 20000 there are less chances of getting scholarships. Even if you get them it will be only a few percent of your tuition fees.

In case you are from any backward castes then there 50% chances of getting scholarships though a very little amount.

Congratulations on your rank, yes you may get a seat in mechanical engineering as a lot of the top rankers will either go for cse or not turn up as they will look to take admission in IITs,NITs, etc. So you stand a good chance of getting mechanical. Good luck to you

I am sorry to tell you but getting electrical or mechanical with 1904 rank is almost impossible as the the seats in these branches are filled under the top 9000 ranks itself.. you may stand a chance of getting a biology related course if you are interested. All the best

Congratulations on your rank, you may get the stream of your choice with 5632 rank as most of the top rankers will not make it to the counselling as they'll look to take admission in IITs and NITs.Also there are alot of people ranked above you who are only eligible to opt for bio related courses so your actual rank is much lesser and thus you should get the branch of your choice in either vellore or chennai. i am sorry to tell you that you may not get a brach in the vellore campus as the competition is very stiff now a days. Most of the seats are taken under 12000 rank.
however, you may stand a chance of getting a course in the chennai campus which is relatively new but not as good as the vellore campus. Good luck to you

Well the tution fee for each year is 1,10,000 so thats 4,40,000 for four years. The hostel fee(all inclusive of food and all miscellaneous charges) will depend on the number of room mates you choose to have and also whether you choose an AC room or a non-AC room..

there is no specified rank required for the allotment of branch in VIT because the competition varies from year to year. Therefore, in general, it can be assumed that you can get a branch of your choice. The top 20,000 ranks students are called for the counselling and with this rank, you stand good with your rank and you can get a branch of your choice
