Eligibility for Assistant Commandant

Indian Coast guard recruits candidates for the officer
rank through the post Assistant Commandant(GD)General
duty every year. The eligibility required for this post is given
below:

Education Qualification

To apply for the post of Assistant Commandant(GD)
a candidate should have Degree in any discipline with
Mathematics and Physics as subjects upto intermediate.

So you can apply only after the completion of your
engineering.


Age Limit
For the above post candidate age should be
between 21-25 years . There is a relaxation in
age is given for the reserved category students
like SC/ST 5 years and OBC 3 years.


Physical Standard
Minimum Height required 157cms
Eye sight 6/6 & 6/9 without glasses

yes final year student may also apply for Assistant Commandment exam as General Duty Men in Coast Guard but they have to be able to show their original certificate of result at the time of verification of documents.


the eligibility criterion to appear in Assistant Commandment exam as General Duty Men in Coast Guard is candidate should have age between 21 to 25 at the time of application for general category candidate. 5 years reservation are available for SC/ST candidate and 3 years for OBC candidate.
