Sir, I have completed my 12th Board exams from Science stream after which I started with B.Com and presently I am about to complete my 1st year of B.Com from a UGC recognized university. So, now can I apply and write the AFCAT and CDS entrance examination?

To appear in AFCAT and CDS exam, the candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.
Last year candidates are also eligible to appear in this exam.

Yes, you can apply for AFCAT and CDS examination while pursuing BCom.
Educational qualification:-
Graduation with any stream with at least 60%.
You must have physics and maths as compulsory in class 12th.
Students who are appearing in their final exam of graduation are also eligible to appea.
Age limit:-
For flying branch - 19 - 23 years
For ground duty branch - 22 - 23 years
For technical branch -18 - 28 years

You can apply for AFCAT and CDS exams after graduation however, last year candidates are also eligible to apply.

Being a student of 1st year of B.Com. degree course, you are not eligible for appearing in AFCAT or CDS examination as the minimum education required for appearing in these examinations is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Further, students pursuing final year of their bachelor's degree course are also eligible.

So. for appearing in the above mentioned examination, you will have to wait till you get in the final year of your B.Com degree course.
