This is Santosh Kumar and am 18 years 9 month 6 days old. I got in 12th class over all percentage of 53% with physics-61, chemistry-64 and Maths-44. My dob is 23 April 1999. Please, tell me what are the criteria for AFCAT exam and CDS exam?

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test.

The age limit for AFCAT is different for different branches:

Flying Branch: 20-24 years

Technical Branch; 20-26 years

Ground Duty Branch: 20-26 years.

CDS stand for combined Defence Services.

The age limit for CDS is 19-25 years and qualification is bachelor degree in any discipline.

AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and CDS is Combined Defence Services.

Both these exams are conducted at bachelor's degree level. There is no possibility for you to apply for either of them after 12th board exams. You should pursue bachelor's degree to become eligible for exams.

Minimum age limit for CDS is 19 years and that for AFCAT is 20 years.

First thing I would like to let you know is that being a Class 12th passed candidate you are not allowed for appearing in AFCAT ( Air force Common Admission Test ) or CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) examination as for these examinations the minimum educational qualification required is a graduation from a recognized university.

Further, the minimum age for appearing in AFCAT and CDS examination are 20 years and 19 years respectively.

On the basis of your educational qualification you are eligible for apppearing in NDA entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year. Also, for appearing in the same examination you need to be an unmarried Indian male candidate with your age lying under 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
