Can I apply for CA after scoring 54.44% in B.Com Hons.?

I have to do Chartered Accountancy (CA) course. Can I apply for C.A if I scored 54.44% in B.Com Hons. in my final year? Will I get admission in IPCC level directly? What I have to do to apply for CA via online? Which website to visit to apply for CA?

The full form of CA is Chartered Accountancy course. It has three stages:

1. Common Proficiency Test.

2. Integrated Professional Competence course.

3. Final course.

You can not get direct admission in CA IPCC course directly after B.Com with 54.44% marks. The minimum percentage of marks required in bachelor's degree in commerce to get admission in IPCC is 55%.

You will have to first apply for CPT to get enrolled in CA course. The official website of CA is website link .

Having completed your B.Com (Hons.) degree course with 54.44% marks, you are not eligible to register for CA IPCC course directly by exempting CA CPT as for exempting CA CPT, the minimum marks required in B.Com(Hons.) degree course is 55%.

So, in order to register for CA course, you will have to start from CA CPT and for doing that you can refer to the link www.icai.org.

CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course. It is a professional course mostly preferred commerce stream candidates. It has three stages called CPT, IPCC and final course. 12th passed commerce stream candidates need to apply for CPT exam to enter into CA course.

Candidates who have secured minimum of 55% marks in Bachelor of Commerce or 60% marks or more in non commerce stream can get admission in IPCC directly.

You can not get direct admission in IPCC with 54.44% marks. You should first take CPT exam to get enrolled in CA course.

The acronym CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course. It has three stages:

1. Common Proficiency test.

2. Integrated Professional Competence course.

3. Final course.

You can not directly apply for IPCC with less than 55% marks in Bachelor of Commerce degree. You will have to apply for CPT exam and clear it to get enrolled in CA course.

If you have scored minimum 55% marks in your BCom then you are eligible directly for professional competency course .
This examination are held twice a year in the month of January and December.
