Can I apply for IAS exam if I am doing graduation as a private student in Arts Stream?
sir! i am doing graduation as a private student in arts stream with economics,maths and english.i wanna become an IAS officer.plz tell me if i can apply for that post considering i am doing graduation as a private.t

dear,
yes, you are apply for IAS exam. it's not necessory that you should only regular in graduation. don't worry !you are eligible for IAS, if your age limit is in between 21 to 30 years. you choose a very good field . always think for big . work hard and get it. good luck! |

you can apply for the exam same way as the other students but i guess you are alrady late for this year as the last date of applying for the exam is over. Now you have to wait until the next year. For more information you can visit http://www.upsc.gov.in

Yes you are eligible for IAS exam after completing your graduation in any stream.
But when you are pursuing your gradution then you are not eligible for IAS. The minimum education qualification is : graduation in any stream. The age limit is: 21 to 30 year and relaxation for sc/st AND OBC |

Hello Frns, I thing For Ias Exam You should Pass or appearing any Gradution Course (regular course).After Then You would be eligible for IAS exam.

TO be eligible for the Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC, you must hold a bachelors degree approved by a recognized university. If you have graduated from a recognized university and you are within the age limit of 21-30 years, you may apply for the exam.The maximum age limit is relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years fro OBC's. Look, to become an IAS, you need to appear for the Civil Service examination conducted by the UPSC every year. The eligibility conditions are as follows: Educational Qualification: A graduate degree in any fiels from a recognized university. Students in the final year of such courses can also apply. Yes you are eligible for the IAS exam even if you are doing graduation as a private student.
IAS is conducted by upsc for more details you can visit www.upsc.gov.in Age limit is 21- 30 years relaxation in age is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Number of Permissible attempts- 4 attempts for general category, 7 for OBC category and no limit for SC/ST candidates. |

Yes you can apply for IAS exam .
The eligibility criteria for TAS- 1. Age limit = 21 to 30 years (relaxation for sc/st or obc is 3 to 5 years ) 2. Graduation from any recognized university. 3. Max. 4 attempts are possible for generals .(7 for OBS candidates) thank you |

IAS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA : 1. The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline and in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. 2. The age of the GEN candidate should be between 21-30 years, OBC candidates should be 21-33 years, and SC/ST candidates should be between 21-35 years. 3. Final year appearing students can apply, but not the pre final year students. So since you are from arts stream , you are surely eligible to apply. All the best. Regards #RJ# |

Civil Services Examination is the most prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various All India Services including I.A.S., I.P.S., I.F.S., I.R.S., and various Group A Services and Group B Services. Normally applications are invited by UPSC notifications in leading News Papers during December every year. The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages : 1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type) (Usually conducted in May) 2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written) (Conducted during October/November) 3. Interview and final Selection (During April/May) 1. Minimum Educational Qualification : Degree of any recognized university. However candidates studying in final year examination may apply for Preliminary. When he applies for Main Examination, he shall be a Graduate. But the following Engineering discipline are eligible :- * Civil Engineering, * Mechanical Engineering, * Bio Technology, * Electrical Engineering, * Physics * Chemistry * Statics * Geology etc. So you are very much eligible for I.A.S. in U.P.S.C. For this you have to prepare right now.Here I have also mentioned about the age limit and number of attempts of the examination. 2. Age Limit : * Minimum Age :- 21 as on 1st August during which they will write Exam. * Maximum Age: 30 for GEN, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC. 3. IAS exam is conducted by the upsc once in a year. Eligibility criteria: you should be a citizen of india. The candidate shoule be complete graduation from any recognized university. The candidate age limit should be 21 to 3o years. Examination pattern: written exam main exam interview the website is http://www.upsc.gov.in all the best. |
