Yes, you are eligible for IAS exam as you have required academic qualification as Graduation Degree. There is no specification that one should be a Graduate from regular mode of education in order to qualify for IAS exam.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

So you are eligible to apply for Civil Service exam as a private Graduate Degree holder from Arts stream.

As there is no specification of application to IAS exam only by the Graduate from regular student, the Graduation completed Privately and not through regular mode, is eligible to apply for the same where the Institution from where one completed Graduation should be a recognised one.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

yes you can apply for Indian Administrative Service even though you have completed graduation through private. To clear all doubts in your mind, there is no restriction of correspondence etc graduate degree holders.

The Union Public Service Commission which is responsible for conducting the entrance exam has only made the educational requirement to be graduation. You are free to choose subjects, streams etc. Even percentage scored in graduation is not considered.

Therefore you should not be concerned about appearing for the Indian Administrative Service Exam. You are eligible therefore feel free to apply whenever you like.
