Re: Can I do B.Ed after scoring 43% marks in B.A?
Bachelor of Education or B.Ed is a course which is taken after completion of graduation course. This course is mainly taken up by candidates who are interested in pursuing career in teaching whether in private schools or government schools.
Bachelor of Education degree in mandatory for anyone who are interested in becoming teacher for primary schools. Unless a candidate possess B.Ed degree, he/she is not allowed to appear for teaching entrance exams like Teachers Eligibility Test. B.Ed can only be taken up after completing graduation. Those who have completed Bachelor of Arts would be trained to teach in schools subjects such as history, geography, civics and languages. I am afraid that you might not be able to qualify for the Bachelor of Education course. It would depend on whether you belong to reserve category or not. Your percentage is short for General candidates to apply for B.Ed however SC/ST candidate can easily apply for B.Ed course. Eligibility 1. A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. 2. A minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation. 3. Candidates of Other Backward Class need 45 percent marks. 4. SC/ST need 40 percent marks for B.Ed 5. Your educational pattern should be 10+2+3 If you meet this criteria than surely you are eligible for Bachelor of Education course. You can take up any entrance exam for admission. The exam pattern is generally as following. General Awareness Test Teaching Potential Test General Mental Ability Test Language Proficiency Test Language Proficiency Test: English and/or Hindi |

hello friend,
sorry to say but you are not qualified for b.ed entrance exam since you have scored less in your graduation level . As the minimum criteria is at least having 50 percentage for general in your discipline. . But if you belong to sc/st,obc or any other category then yes you have a chance to go b.ed course. All the best. |
