i am scored 43% marks in BA. can i do BED in punjab. and can i eligible for Bed post. in the punjab pls reply. i am confused.

Dear friend

B.ed stands for Bachelor of Education.It is a teacher training course and in the recent years this degree has become compulsory for all those who aspire to become teacher in government colleges.

The eligibility criteria for the B.ed is as follows:

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a university that is recognized by the UGC.

>>Final year candidates can also go for the entrance exam conducted by the universities for taking candidates.

>>Minimum of 50% is required in bachelor's degree for the B.ed .So there is very less chances that you will be able to for this program with just 43% in bachelor of arts.Some colleges may accept this but there is very rare chances .

B.ed can done in two modes:

1.Regular mode : the upper age limit is 28 years

2.Correspondence mode: there is no upper age limit .You can do it at any age.

The entrance exam generally contains questions from the subjects like :

>>English

>>Teaching aptitude

>>General awareness and reasoning

>>Elementary mathematics.

Dear student, Well, The eligibility of B.Ed is 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Sciences or Social Sciences or Humanities or Commerce.
As you told me that you have 43% then you are not eligible for B.Ed.
