Sir,I am studing in diploma 2nd yr.I am doing this course after 10th. can I do btech after completing my 3 yrs of diploma?
Is there any entrance exam for addmission?

Surely , why not.

There is always a good opportunity for Diploma Holders to get into B. Tech.

There is no requirement for any Entrance Exam. Although there is a trend for Diploma Holder's that the university itself provides a counselling to get into B. Tech at the end of Final Year of Diploma.

So, you need not to worry for it you can directly get into B. Tech through that Counselling for Admission.

Just contact your college placement cell regarding this, they will notify you.

Surely you can get admission for B.Tech course after completing diploma in Engineering after class 10. The stream would depend on the subject in which you completed the diploma course.

The process to get admission in B.Tech after completing diploma in Engineering is called lateral entry scheme. This scheme is only given to candidates who have either completed diploma in Engineering after 10th or B.Sc after 12th.

What lateral entry scheme means is that you are eligible to get admission is second year of any B.Tech course. The admission process is different for various universities. Some would give direct admission based on your performance in diploma course while others may ask you to appear in LEET entrance exam before you can get admission.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

~~ Only candidates with diploma in Engineering and B.Sc degree are eligible for lateral entry.

~~ You must have passed diploma course from a AICTE approved university.

~~ You need to secure at least 60 percent marks in diploma course to get direct admission in Engineering college. In some colleges 50 percent is the requirement to get admission via lateral entry.

~~ You must have completed diploma course after 10th while B.Sc should be done after 12th.

~~ Not every university given direct admission, some prefer candidate to appear in LEET entrance exam. So be prepared to to appear in exam if required.

For getting B.Tech now it is the same procedure as that for a fresher candidate after 12th standard examination. You will have to sit for JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) or AIEEE(All India Engineering Entrance Examination) or EAMCET as you please. The upper limit of most of these joint examinations is 25 years. So if you are within this age limit you can definitely go for this examination. If you have 50-55% marks minimum in your 12th standard mark sheet and also a qualifying result in any of these entrance examinations, you will get chances in some of the good colleges depending on the immediate counseling process that you will have after this examination.

Yes you can definitely do B.Tech after completing your Diploma course of 3 years through lateral entry.

Also , after completing your diploma course , you can take admission directly in B.Tech 2nd year.

But , There are some eligibility criteria that you require in order to take admission in B.Tech after completing your diploma. These are :

* You must have completed your diploma from any recognized college/university.

* You must have completed your diploma with a minimum of 50% marks.

The Eligibility Criteria for the B.tech are
1)must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized board with a minimum percentage of marks. The minimum percentage of marks varies for different institutes. for IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) it is 60% and for NITs(National Institute of Technology) it is 50%.

2)the candidates must crack the entrance examination of the institute or board. the ranking in the entrance examination decides the candidates who are eligible for admission.

the candidates can get direct entry into the 2nd year of B.Tech who are having a diploma in Engineering or completed B.Sc.the entry of candidates in 2nd year is called lateral entry scheme. every college have this scheme.

Yes you can pursue your btech degree after diploma of 3 years but for thet you need not to give any entrance exam.university in which you are goin to take admission itself holds counselling in which you can get seat based on your marks. There are very less seats for LEET students so work hard. After Diploma you can directly get admission in 2nd year of degree.

Yes, Off course You can Get Admission in B.Tech After Completing Your Diploma course through Lateral Entry in Relative Branch to the Diploma Branch.
this process is also called D2D (Diploma to Degree).

you just have to fill the form of Lateral Entry and according to your CPI grade you can Get admission in B.Tech.

yes offcourse you can do btech..ull get direct admsn in 2nd yr of ur particular brnch...!there will not be any entrance xams for tht...procedure of getting admsn will be depnd on ur marks..as much good u score as such ull get ur college...so get in to attact ..best luck..!!

Yes friend you can surely get admission in BTech 2nd year after doing 3 years diploma in engineering. Only a few universities in India give lateral entry admission for BTech program. I did vocational courses after passing class 10. And I took admission to machanical. Diploma course for two years. After completing the course can I take admission for btec with out admission examination?
