Re: Can I do LLB by distance learning after passing BSc?
Out of many courses in Law, LLB is the only one, completion of which enables the candidate to get enrolled as an Advocate and practice the profession in the court of Law. Since the profession is regulated by The Bar Council of India, they do not consider candidates to enroll as an Advocate after completion of any courses in Law pursued through distance mode. Apart from that, those have pursued LLB through regular mode and have an average attendance of less than 70% are not considered by the council for enrollment as an Advocate and practice in the court of Law. So, basically, there are no university which offers LLB through distance mode. However, there are many universities which offers bachelor level courses in Law through distance mode but are not approved by the Bar Council of India and if you are willing to take Law as profession, the courses are not worth pursuing as they wont enable you to do so.
