The major drawback of LLB course is that it can not be offered through correspondence. You will not find any college offering LLB course through correspondence or the distance education.

Usually the colleges offer Bachelor of Law degree through correspondence. However one should not be get confused with the fact that LLB is called Bachelor of Law in some parts of South India, which is offered through regular mode.

Coming back to correspondence degree, the Bachelor of Law degree which is offered through correspondence is not accepted by the Bar Council of India. Therefore completing such degree would be complete waste of time.

The Bar Council of India has made is completely clear that it will not recognized such degrees therefore the candidate will not be allowed to register with local bar council. This effectively means that you can not practice as lawyer anywhere in India with the correspondence/distance education degree.

If you want to become lawyer then seriously start considering completing LLB through regular mode. If you want admission in Delhi then apply in Delhi University which offers the 3 years LLB course.

You will have to appear for the entrance exam. It is generally conducted some time in June.


LLB Eligibility

1. You should have a graduation degree from recognized college.

2. 50 percent marks in graduation course.

3. There is no percentage criteria for SC/ST in DU.

4. Your age should be less than 30 years.

5. Relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST.
