i am pursuing MBA from SMU distance in marketing,will be complete on august 2011,i want to complete phd from burdwan university distance,i am wirking a corporate sector,is it possible?if it is possible,what is the procedure.

Because in Burdwan University ,there is regular PHD,not distance.
and you are not elegible for regular PHD ,because you have passed your MBA in distance mode.
Only students done MBA in regular mode can only apply for regular PHD.

yes u can do. no, u cannot do...how can u do if u do not do? so better do to do what you are supposed to do without thinking what to do.

With Indian universities, it is really difficult to pursue your PhD along with work. Even if you do, it takes at least 4 years for completion. PhD through distance learning is illegal in India. You can also check out other options wth subjects like leadership with national school of leadership or fellowship programs with IIMs, where working professionals enrol. some private universities where the credibility is slightly lower however allow external phds but the actual cost of completion goes beyond 4 lks where you have to pay the guide and stuff apart from a very high fee.
