you can do self study for ies exam. self study is must to qualify any exam.
for materials regarding ies exam there are good number of books that are available in the market from the bookstore which sells book related to various competition.

Now i am going to discuss about IES examination..
If you work hard for any examination then you can get success in any examination, so work hard is must,
Now in case of IES examination, If u have a good preparation in your B.tech subjects then it will be become easily to qualify this examination, if you have a good preparation in following subjects- Analog devices and circuits
-Digital electronics
-Electrical measuring and instrumentation
-Signal and systems
-Circuits and systems
-Control System
-Power electronics
-power system
then you can easily qualify examination

yea obviously you can do self study for IES(Indian Engineering Services). but it is a difficult examination. the competition is very hard. so it's difficult to do will compare to other in this examination without any coaching. because in coaching institution they provide very good study material.

till you may try for IES examination with self study. for this complete the whole syllabus first from the text book. then buy some good books for only IES examination and practice them attentively. you will get also study material for IES examination. for IES study material click here

yes, you can do self study for IES exam. see Study material for IES exam is not a matter of clearing the exam.

the matter is that concept.

if you can make good concept amd make depths of of coursers, then you will be eligiable to clear the IES.

text book is more than enough for clearing the IES exam. for practice you can can follow some guiding books like G.K publication, Rajput etc.

For those syllabus you know each and every concept care fully.

These IES exam can be conducted by UPSC.It is difficult to write.Its better to join the any coaching institute.

You can do self study for IES but IES is one of the toughest exam in india.
for this you have to work hard and we know everything can be achieved with a systematic arrangement of study with possible time arrangement for each topics.

Dear sir,
i am in job , and i do not have touch with the theory or study materials. But i think i have clear concept of my field Electrical Engineering. Now i am thinking about the IES exam.(after 6 years of my pass out).
Could you suggest what i should do so that i can get through the IES exam ?
should i go for self study ?
I could not leave the job also due to family dependency.
