You can get a NIT college with 140/360 marks being obc candidate but the chances are 50-50. Admission might be possible if you belong to "HOME STATE QUOTA" of that NIT as each NIT has 50 % seats reserved for its home state candidates.

hello sir, my sister has got an all india rank of 5333 in AIEEE, b.arch, 1024 under OBC category, home state rank of 284, with the rank of 126 under obc category. is there a possiblity of getting an admission into NIT, Calicut for architecture for these ranks please do reply..awaiting

Your estimated all india ranks is about 40,000. As your rank in very low so you will not get a seat in NIT Calicut. If your rank is about 25000 then you might get this NIT but don't worry you'll get a seat in good college.

You can surely get admitted to NITs .
Your AIEEE and State CEE ranks are very good.
Since you are an OBC candidate , its sure for you to get admitted in NITs, but its not guaranteed that you should get in Calicut NIT(Kerala).
You will get in any NITs for sure.
You may get EC or CS branch most probably
