I am expecting around 120 marks in AIEEE 2011 and my rank will most probably lie between 25,000-30,0000.Can I get into NITs with this marks?

As you said 120 marks it means that you will get a rank in the range of 25k to 30 k

getting NIT's is highly impossible for this rank

A professional who is in this field ,says in an article that NIT's require at least 9K to 10K All India Rank for getting seat

and also there are some exceptional cases
i.e., for some candidates who are lucky like

->having good reservation percentage can get them seat

->Candidates who are of the home state of NIT also have a chance to get into NIT

i.e., if a person is from warangal andhrapradesh then he will get the HS quota in the NIT warangal

So if you have any chance like that then you can get into NIT's

or else you have to take another attempt to see NIT's

anyways believe in hard work and give another attempt

its my suggestion to you....

decide up on it with your parents if you are confident regarding Next AIEEE

Your chance of getting seat in NITs are very less if you belong to general category.
But if you belong to reserved category, then you will get but less chances of getting branches like computer sc, electronics.
Also, if a particular NIT belongs to your state, then you will get 50% reservation in that NIT.

Students getting rank below 25000 can get into nits, there are around 26000 seats in aieee govt colleges...people scoring above 135 140 will get rank under 25000. Result will be out anytime in few days so just keep checking aieee official site....

getting into an NIT is also not a easy task ... but if you getting a rank within 30000 then surely you are eligible for AIEEE counseling. keep a track of the counseling dates and the ranks that being filled up....
for a NIT rank must be within 10000. so 25000-30000 is a bit tough job but as i mention it earlier you may get other better college..

Dear friend
I dont thik you will get the expected rank at your marks . In my opinion you will need to prepare again for AIEEE exam or take admissions to private institutions.
It is better you view the official website of AIEEE . details of rank wise allotment result of previous year in present there.

sorry friends you can not get admission in NITs because under 20,000 rank student is applicable.But if you belong to reserved category, then you will get but less chances of getting branches like computer sc, electronics.
