firstly, you have not mentioned your category .

allotment of branches and colleges depends upon category rank also.

as you rank is big , it is difficult for you to get admission into NITs

you can get admission those private colleges which are giving admission through AIEEE

You have a very good rank in AIEEE exam. Having this rank you can take admission in any of the college or university of your state. Apart from this if you want to study in the college outside from your state, than you can also take admission there also. You can take admission easily in any of the NIT's. You can also apply for the IIT's but hardly you can got a seat there, but if your luck is good than you can also take a seat in IIT's. If you are a suspect of minority cast than you have a chances to get a seat in IIT's. Rest depends on the cut off percentage. I suggest you to fill all the counseling, in 4th counseling you have an idea that where you stand and in which colleges or universities you have chances to get admission.
