Re: Can I give CLAT examination after doing M.Com?
Hi,
Actually the CLAT exam are preferable to the candidates who passes his/her secondary higher education or any equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC and persons with Disability). The Age linit to attend this exam should not be more than 20 years in case of General/OBC candidates (22 years in case of SC/ST and persons with Disability). As you completed your M.Com I think your age is more than 22 years which is not eligible. The other one is CLAT Test Postgraduate Programmes for which you should have a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognised University with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST /OBC and persons with Disability) All the best. |

Re: Can I give CLAT examination after doing M.Com?
I am afraid it is not possible to apply for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). You should have applied for it before completing graduation. CLAT entrance exam is for BA LLB course which has duration of 5 years.
This course is taken after completing 12th standard. The age limit for Common Law Admission Test is 20 years with upto 2 years relaxation for SC and ST. This completely rules you out from appearing for the Common Law Admission Test. However your hopes of applying for law course are still alive. Instead of BA LLB course you should apply for LLB 3 years course. This course can only be pursued after completing graduation. Since you are post graduate, it should not be an issue for you to apply for the LLB course. Just ensure to pursue LLB through regular mode. Bar Council of India will not recognize correspondence degree. LLB Eligibility 1. You should have completed minimum of graduation course. 2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation. 3. The requirement is 40 percent for SC and ST. 4. Your age should be less than 30 years to apply for LLB. 5. There is upto 5 years relaxation for SC and ST. 6. Criteria for OBC and General candidates is same. |
