Can I job in private banks on the basis of B.Com?

Hi, I have completed my B.Com and wants to do job in private banks like ICICI, HDFC, Kotak and others. Can I get any designation in any of the private banks with B.Com only? Or, should I study further or is there any entrance for jobs in private banks?

No, you can't get jobs into Bank directly on the basis of B.Com course. You need to qualify bank entrance exams for getting job in Banks.

There are many bank related exams conducted in India. Some banks conduct their own entrance exams for recruitment.

However, most of the banks recruit candidates on the basis of their performance in IBPS exam that is especially conducted for bank jobs.

I have mentioned below some bank oriented exams.
  • IBPS PO Exam
  • SBI PO Exam
  • Private Banks Exam (like ICICI, etc)
  • IBPS Clerical Recruitment Exam for PSUs
  • SBI Clerical Recruitment Exam
  • CWE for Regional Rural Banks
  • CWE for Specialist Officer

Being a B.com graduate you have wonderful opportunities waiting in commercial banking sector. you can't attain a job in private bank with just your b.com degree but you have to qualify the entrance exam kept by the respective banks, that too may vary depending upon the bank you opt. There are nearly 30+ private banks in India like ICICI bank,Axis bank,HDFC bank etc.Visit the official site of the respective bank and check for new recruitment mostly in career option. fill out the application form online checking out the requirements. sometimes you have to attach your cv,photograph and signature.so get ready with an impressive cv/resume. and do prepare for the entrance exam by checking the preferred syllabus.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
