So, if you are willing to pursue Chartered Accountancy course and want to register for the course at this point of time, you will have to, first of all, register for Common Proficiency Test irrespective of the marks you secured in the bachelors degree examination. Qualifying Common Proficiency Test will enable you to get promoted to next level of the Chartered Accountancy course. |

Re: Can I join IPCC after passing graduation in B.Com with 65%
You do not have to attempt Common Proficiency Test. You can directly take admission for the IPCC course. The new rule by ICAI which you are talking about is also applicable for you.
Luckily for you, the exemption will be given in your case because you are meeting the exemption criteria to not appear for Common Proficiency Test which is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy course. Exemption Criteria 1. You should have 55 percent marks in Commerce graduation. 2. No less than 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation. The requirement is 55 percent in Bachelor of Commerce while you have got 65 percent. Therefore do not waste time in appearing for the Common Proficiency Test and instead apply for the IPCC through direct admission. You will have to study for 9 months after which you can give group 1 exam of the IPCC course. IPCC Group 1 1.Accounting 2.Business Laws 3.Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4.Taxation Once you have cleared the Group 1, you should take admission for the 3 years long Articleship before you appear for the second group exam. IPCC Group 2 5.Advanced Accounting 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Information Technology and Strategic Management Then you will have to complete 30 months of Articleship before you can appear for the CA Final Examination, which is the third and final stage of Chartered Accountancy course. |

Re: Can I join IPCC after passing graduation in B.Com with 65%
Dear Friend,
The Acronym "IPCC" stands for Integrated Professional Competent Course. Yes you can definitely join the IPCC after passing graduation in B.Com with 65% marks. You need not to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. This is because of the latest amendments made by the ICAI [Institute Of Chartered Accountants of India] in the eligibility criteria required for the Chartered Accountancy Course. As per the latest amendments , candidates can join the IPCC directly without giving the CPT under the following terms : 1) Either the candidate has passed graduation with commerce stream with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized college/university. OR, 2) The candidate has passed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university with a minimum of 55% marks. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Can I join IPCC after passing graduation in B.Com with 65%
Dear There,
IPCC stands for Integrated Professional Competent Course. According to the new rules Candidate with 50% marks in Graduation (Preferred B.com.) does not need to take up the CPT examination. Candidate can join IPCC without taking up CPT examination. The eligibility criteria for this are : i) Candidate must pass graduation with minimum 50% marks. or, ii) A total of 55% marks should be achieved by the candidate if he/she has a Graduation degree in other streams (Arts / Science) excluding commerce. This is the all I have to share with you. Thanks. |

Your admission for IPCC is not depending upon your grade. It depends upon the percentage of marks you got in the exam. If you have 55% marks in bcom you will get direct admission for IPCC. Regards. |
