Re: what are the qualifications needed in Chartered Accounting?
The Chartered Accountancy course is conducted by ICAI and the course is
a correspondence course. You can register for the course during 10+2 or later. Registration for the course remains open throughout the year and there is no age restriction for this course. The CA course comprises of one basic test (which is not an accounting related test) and two courses. These are Competence Proficiency Test (CPT) Integrated Proficiency Competence Course (IPCC) and Final Course You can apply for the course exams only after registering for the course according to your qualification. Competence Proficiency Test (CPT) You can apply for CPT during 10+2 or after passing 12th board exams. (If you appear CPT during class 12th, you qualify CPT but you fail 12th then CPT qualification will become invalid) After passing the CPT you can move to apply for next level of CA course i.e., IPCC. Integrated Proficiency Competence Course (IPCC) The IPCC comprises of two groups viz;, Group-A and Group-B. You can apply for Group-A and Group-B at a time or you can take them separately. If you apply for both the groups at a time then after passing the IPCC exam you will have to undergo 3 year Articled Training. In the last year of Articled Training, you can apply for CA Final Course exam. If you find it difficult to attend both the Groups of IPCC at a time so if you wish you can join Articled Training just after passing Group-A and you can appear Group-B exams anytime between the training period and you can apply for Final course after completion of Articled training. If your qualification is equal to any one of the following mentioned then you can skip CPT and can directly register for IPCC. Graduation in Commerce discipline with 50% or more marks. or Graduation in Non-Commerce discipline (without Maths. in Graduation) with 55% or more marks or Graduation in Non-Commerce discipline (with Maths. in Graduation) with 60% or more marks. |

Re: what are the qualifications needed in Chartered Accounting?
dear friend,
Charted Accountancy course need your graduation and you can do it with any type of graduation, such as, B.com B.sc BBA BCA.etc.. But B.com is best with CA because subjects of B.com &CA are similar. For applying just download registration form from the site fill it at each photocopy of 10th,12th mark sheet and get it attested with any Charted accountant and post it by registered speed post to the following address: TO, the secretory, Institute of Charted Accountant Of India. all the best............. |

Exams for CA
A Candidate who has passed the 10th examination can register for the Competency Professional Test (CPT) of the CA programme. But they can write the examination only after passing the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or waiting for the 10+2 exam results. There are no restrictions with regard to the age of the candidate or marks secured in Senior Secondary Examination. The CA Programme is mainly divided into Professional Competency Course and Final course. After completing the CPT or graduation with required marks one can go for Professional Competency Course (PCC). The registration for PCC is open throughout the year. The exam will be held twice a year in May and November. Eligibility for PCC: --> Commerce graduates with 50% marks, --> Non-commerce graduates with subjects other than Mathematics with an aggregate of 55% marks --> Non-commerce graduates with Math with an aggregate of 60% marks Subjects for Professional Competency Course (PCC) The Professional Competency Examination has two groups that consists of three papers each (i.e total 6 papers) and each paper consist 100 marks each. Group I Paper 1 - Accounting Paper 2 - Auditing Paper 3 - Business and Corporate Laws Group II Paper 4 - Cost Accounting and Financial Management Paper 5 - Income Tax & Central Sales Tax Paper 6 - Information Technology Final Course The candidate could register as a final student and write the final exam once they passed the PCE and the Information Technology training. On successful completion of the Final examination one becomes the member of the Institute. Member of the Institute may either practice as a Chartered Accountant on his own or go for employment. |

Re: what are the qualifications needed in Chartered Accounting?
for the CA first you can apply for CA after 12th class. firstly you have to give the cpt entrance exam for CA. If you got 100 or 110 marks out of 200 then you can do ipcc in CA course.
But to do CA you should be graduate so you will also do B.com or any other graduation course but mostly student choose B.com due to both CA and B.com subjects are similar. thanks |

Re: what are the qualifications needed in Chartered Accounting?
There is no age restriction to qualify for CPT-CA.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR CA-CPT IS 12th OR GRADUATION.. HERE i m telling the full details about charted accountant... There are 2 ways to take admission in CA.. 1. through CPT 2. through GRADUATION if you want to do CA after 12 then you have to go through CPT, AND if you first do GRADUATION , you will get one relaxation i.e you will directly get admission in IPCC( group-1) , you dont need to go through CPT... Now i m telling you the details about CA... There are 4 stages ... 1. CPT or a graduation degree - minimum 55% required if you opt BCOM or BCOM(H) at graduation level. - minimum 60% required if you opt any other graduation course. 2. IPCC -2 -Paper 1:Accounting -Paper 2:Law, Ethics and Communication -Paper 3:Cost Accounting and Financial Management -Paper 4:Taxation 3. IPCC-2 -Paper 5: Advanced Accounting (100 marks) Paper 6: Auditing and Assurance (100 marks) Paper 7: Information Technology and Strategic Management » Section A: Information Technology (50 marks) » Section B: Strategic Management (50 marks) To pass a student has to obtain a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all the papers of both the groups together if attempting both the groups or all the papers of a single group, failing which the student has to reappear in all the papers of that group/groups again. THEN you have to go through 2.5 years of ARTICLESHIP in a COMPANY OR UNDER A REGISTERED CA... 4.FINAL Then after clearing all these steps you will be a CA... DURATION basically CA is of 5 years , but this period is not definite , this all depends the time you will take to complete all the steps one by one.... |
