Re: Can I apply for IPCC after passing B.Com? I have appeared for CPT twice but I didnt cleark
Yes, you can definitely apply for IPCC exam after B.Com. IPCC is the second level exam in CA course. You can apply for CPT after completing 12th class. If you are a graduate you can directly apply for the IPCC and you are exempted from CPT exam. If you qualify in IPCC you should undergo article ship training for 3 years. The final exam of CA course can be attended only after qualifying in the article ship training.

Re: Can I apply for IPCC after passing B.Com? I have appeared for CPT twice but I didnt cleark
It is possible to take admission directly for IPCC, but you should have the necessary marks in graduation course.
I should point out that those who have completed only 12th have to appear for Common Proficiency Test not matter what. But same is not the case for graduates. They can claim exception but should meet the criteria. Exemption Criteria 1. 55 percent marks in the commerce graduation. 2. 60 percent marks in non commerce graduation. See whether you are meeting this criteria. If you are then there is no need to apply for the Common Proficiency Test. But if you aren't then I am afraid there is no option for you but to apply and clear Common Proficiency Test. If you are eligible for exemption then take admission for the IPCC and Articleship along with it through the direct admission procedure. You should know that it is important to clear 3 years articleship as well. You will have to wait to complete the 9 months of articleship. After that you are eligible to clear the written tests for IPCC. IPCC Group 1 1. Accounting 2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4. Taxation IPCC Group 2 5. Advanced Accounting 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Information Technology and Strategic Management After clearing IPCC you will continue with the articleship. Only once 6 months are left to complete it, you can appear for the final examination. Group 1 1. Financial Reporting 2. Strategic Financial Management 3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics 4. Corporate and Allied Laws Group 2 5. Advanced Management Accounting 6. Information System control and Audit 7. Direct Tax Laws 8. indirect tax Laws |

Re: Can I apply for IPCC after passing B.Com? I have appeared for CPT twice but I didnt cleark
If you have completed B.Com with 55% marks then only you will be eligible to apply for CA IPCC directly without qualifying CPT.
If you have scored below 55% marks in B.Com. then you have to appear for CPT and clear it to become eligible for CA IPCC. As you have mentioned that you have got below 55% marks in B.Com means you are not eligible for directly applying for IPCC and you have to pass CPT. Hence you must start preparing for CPT so that you can pass it this time. Try to practice question paper of CPT so that you can improve your speed. The questions in CPT are objective type and will be from following subjects: -Accounting -Mercantile Laws -General Economics -Quantitative Ability For more information visit http://www.icai.org |
