Can I secure job in Government Sector being a 35 years old BE(E&TC) graduate?

Hi, I am 35 years of age and I have done BE in E&TC course. I am working in a private firm and now I am interested to join Government sector. So, at this age am I eligible to get job in Government sector? Kindly tell me immediately.
