I have done MSW from IGNOU in distance learning mode. I have got 56% Marks. Can I write NET Exam. Please reply soon. I am waiting for your positive reply

YES, you can give the UGC-NET exams.
You have to give the UGC-NET exams in the subject Social work


UGC-NET exams are held in June and December each year
Next exam will be in June 2013

ELIGIBILTY FOR THE UGC-NET exams:
Post Graduation pass with minimum 55% marks for the General and OBC candidates
Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.This test will be conduct for only lectureship , PHD and JRF .

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam but their is also some marks criteria.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55% above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

You have completed MSW degree from from IGNOU with above 56% so you are applicable for NET Exam.

IGNOU is recognized university so don't worry about it.

For JRF ,The age should be below 28 years and for Lectureship there are no age limit.

dear sir, i'm quite afraid of getting admission in ignou for the course of msw. Will this degree be accepted in and around India? I'll do social work and that's my primary moto...after msw i wanna go for ph.d.... So this degree will be useful naa?
