If you have completed 12th in science and very much interested in Economics you can join First year in BA ( Bachelor of Arts) with special subject as Economics.
or
if you have already completed Bsc then you can opt for MA with economics and fruther you can go for Phd in the subject of Economics.
and u shall have goods Carear

Economic is taken with subjects like statistics.
You need to learn calculus, algebra & probability to gather the basics.
So,science students have edge over it.

Dear friend as you are a science student why you want to divert from a field.
Yet if you have a interest in economics then you can look forward to do MA,BA or even you can look for doing PHD in economics as it has great demand in the coming future.
