M.Tech and M.B.A are the 2 main options for a student who has completed his or her B.Tech degree. One may choose M.B.A if the person is having an inclination towards the management and administration of a company rather than the technical side of the same. The candidates need to attend national, state or university level examinations to be eligible for an admission. The main MBA entrance exams are CAT, MAT, JMET and ATMA. The score from these test is considered as the primary short listing criteria. The fee structure depends upon the college that you are going to join. The IIM’s on an average collect around Rs. 15 lakhs as fees for a 2 year course. The average fees of other colleges would be around Rs. 3 to 6 lakhs.
