hey to all. i m a student studying in 12th science stream. i want to make my career only and only in physics field as a physicist. just want to know is there any thing else i can do other than enrolling in science college pursuing bachelor of science or doing dual M.S degree. are there any competitive exams after 12 to go in research field???.plz do tell me

Dont go for the dual degree. Start your career as a B.Sc graduate then go for the M.Sc in any reputed universities (JNU, DU, BHU, Madras University) like that. Then try to clear the competitive exam like CSIR, UGC. Thats it !
You can get your Ph.D in any reputed research lab or abroad for the Ph.D.
Follow this definitely you will be a great researcher/scientist in the future.

You could apply at various posts at educational institutions.
Physics is a part of curriculum at degree,diploma and engg. Colleges.
There is a lot scarcity in it.

There are very wide career in physics as a physicist after 12th science but it is hard to become a physicist, you need lots of hard work. Most jobs labeled 'physicist' are reserved for Ph.D.s, but Masters and Bachelors of Physics can find work in many fields, especially in the private sector...

If you are interested in physcs, you can go for BSc physics. After that you can do MSc. There are many job vacancies in this field.

Don't worry ,you must go for Physics ,as you have so many interest on the subject.
After 12th you can take admission in general B.Sc in Physics,

then complete your M.Sc in Physics,after that you can apply for Research for being Doctorate degree in some fields such as:
1>Applied Researcher
2>Computer Technician
3>Research Analyst
4>Statistician etc...

hey....
astro physics is rare to come by.......
try IIST it has a coarse on physical sciences like astro physics u would have to pass its enterence test I-SAT..
or
u can do a BSE in physics and then majour in astro physics...
do CET only if u want to do engineering ....which is a boring and saturated field!!!!!!!!!!!!!
