I got 95.6 percntile in gate 2011 my branch is cse what r my chances to iit and nit I am gold medlst btech from a stae govt univrsty and what r othr collages I apply gate score is 477

You may not get a call from the IIT with this score. However you may get a call from NIT. You may need to select state level institutes. Preferably if you can wait another year you must take the test again with more preparation. You need to get at least a 98 or 97 percentile from these institutes.

Dear friend yes you can apply in both but there is less chance to get admission in IIT................

But you get surely any seat in the NIT because your percentile is good and you can take admission in NIT And state government colleges...........

this is the most good chance for you......that's why you should try for all NIT.........

This time NIT IS good for take admission in M.TECH.................

You have a very good chance of making it into the NITs. 96.5% percentile is not that good, but you can easily get into the NITs..

Your score is less to get a rank from IIT'S......But still , you can get a call from the NIT'S.........For IIT'S your score should be at least 98 percentile....

You 100% get seat in IIT colleges.
You have to apply apllication for all IIT colleges.
some time you need to write entrance exams conducted by the IIT colleges,and try to get good score in that.this test is for to get the seat in your choosed colleges.
