Hello Guys,

I have not seen KJ Somaiya in this thread, and heard that it is one of the best colleges for BIOTECHNOLOGY. Confused by this, anyways the cut off of KJ SOMAIYA College of Science and Commerce is anyhow very high like the FIRST MERIT LIST closed at 86% last year. This clearly indicates how the college is.

Any way ALL INDIA ENTRANCE TEST (AIET) IS HELD FOR B.Tech Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering & M.Tech Integrated (Bioinformatics) Progrmmes

Candidates satisfying the following eligibility criteria are eligible to appear for AIET B.Tech

Candidate must be Indian National
The Nationality, Domicile certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan magistrate or a valid passport shall constitute proof of Nationality.

The candidates who have appeared for HSC or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the dates of counseling will also be eligible to appear at AIET – B.Tech

The candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain that age at the time of admission. Candidate should have passed H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and or Mathematics individually also.

The candidate should have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry biology and or Mathematics taken together at the qualifying examination.
