Re: Companies offering job for boundary case people? I am a 7th sem CS student
See all giant software MNC's like TCS, Wipro, Infosys don't take candidates less than 60% marks in intermediate and high schools and BE/B.tech. So, unfortunately you won't be able to sit for college placements if any one of those came.
Let me make you clear about the eligibility criteria of these companies- 1) 60% in high school and intermediate. 2) A basic knowledge of computer languages if you are not of CS,IT branch and thorough knowledge of as much programming languages as you can calibrate with your skills. 3) You should not have any backlogs at the time of joining. 4) Some of them also do not consider improvement in intermediate. 5) Minimum 60% in graduation. but this doesn't mean that all doors are closed for you. If you work hard and cross that 60% slabs in your 8th sem then you can definitely sit for their interviews. As companies like TCS, HCL, Wipro not only hire candidates from college but through pools also. You can apply them even after completion after your B.tech like for example TCS has currently issued notification for applying of jobs through its NEXT STEP portal. Also, you can apply in companies which do not have this 60% criteria throughout like- ~Joyce enterprises ~Mahindra Infotech ~Asahi Glasses ~Ashirwad consultancy ~L&T infotech... and the list continues. |
