Is it compulsory to choose Masters Degree subject for the UGC NET?
Sir, I want to know that the subject which have taken in Masters Degree is compulsory to opt in for the UGC NET? I don't have an option to choose any other subject for the UGC NET?

The minimum education required for appearing in UGC NET is a Master's degree ( in your interested paper for teaching) with at least 55% marks from a recognised university. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category.
So, once you have opted for a subject for your Master's degree course, then you need to opt for the same subject (or any equivalent subject) as your optional paper for appearing in the UGC NET. For more details regarding the UGC NET examinations, you can refer to the link www.ntanet.nic.in. |

Hello, According to UGC NET rules you should get your master degree in your interested subject with minimum 55 % marks with recognized University. Now clear net exam compulsory to get admission in ph.d...for a lectureship....
