Dear Friend,

* In Tamil Nadu, the admissions for Medical Government Colleges is purely based on merit : i.e., through the marks that is being obtained in the 12th standard examinations in the subjects namely Biology, Physics & Chemistry.

* The biology marks is considered on a scale of 100 where in the physics & chemistry marks are all together considered on a 100 scale contributing to the total scale of 200 points.

* Also the seats are distributed based on the caste reservation.

* For SC/ST candidates the marks required for the admissions on 200 points scale is only around 193 to 195 where as for MBC candidates the score required is about 196 and for BC candidates it is about 198 and for the people belonging to general category it is about 199 to 200.
