Dates and eligiblity of JTO 2011 exam
I am a student of B.Tech 3rd year . Please tell me the dates of JTO 2011 and also tell me whether I am eligilble for that or not.

Nationality Requirement for BSNL-JTO:
Only Indian Nationals would be eligible to apply. Educational Qualifications: Education Qualification for applying in JTO-Telecom Applicant must possess as on 31.12.2009, Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university: i. Telecommunication, ii. Electronics, iii. Radio, iv. Computer, v. Electrical. vi. Information Technology Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31.12.2009. Education Qualification for applying in JTO-Civil Applicant must possess as on 31.12.2009, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution/University. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31.12.2009 Education Qualification for applying in JTO-Electrical Applicant must possess as on 31.12.2009, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution/University. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31.12.2009 Age: The applicant for JTOs(Telecom), JTOs(Civil) and JTOs(Electrical) should not be more than 30 years of age on the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates. However, this age is relaxable as per standing instructions on this subject for:- i) Govt. servants upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt.; ii) BSNL employees upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the BSNL; iii) For Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes candidates upto 5 years; iv) For OBC Candidates upto 3 years; v) For General Category PH candidates upto 10 years ; (for SC/ST 15 years and for OBC 13 years) vi) For certain other categories like ex-servicemen, displaced persons from East Pakistan[now Bangladesh], repatriates from Burma and Ceylon [now Srilanka],residents of Goa, Daman & Diu, persons migrated from Kenya, Uganda, Republic of Tanzania as per instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. (vii) For Residents of J&K – Relaxation shall be in accordance with DoP&T’s Notification No.15012/7/1991-Estt.(D) dtd. 7.12.2007 pertaining to “Residents of State of Jammu and Kashmir (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit for Recruitment to Central Civil Services & Posts) Rules 1997”. Further in respect of apprentices who have undergone apprentice training in BSNL successfully, there will be following provision:- (a) An apprentice will be required to compete in the common competitive examination conducted by BSNL along with other direct candidates and preference to the apprentices over non-apprentices direct candidates will be given only if apprentices secures equal place in merit in select zone and all other eligibility conditions being equal. (b) The apprentices would not be required to get her/his name sponsored by any employment exchange. (c) The apprentices would be entitled to age relaxation to the extent of the period for which the apprentice had undergone training as apprentice in the BSNL. All the best. |

To be eligible for the written test, the candidate must be over 21 years of age and be less than 30 years. Age upper age limit is relax able by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
The total vacancies under JTO were divided into JTO Telecom, JTO Civil and JTO Electrical. For JTO Telecom, one must have an Engineering/Technology degree in any of the following streams Electronics, Telecommunications, Radio, Computers, Electrical or Information Technology. For JTO Civil, one must have a Civil Engineering degree. For JTO Electrical, one must have an Electrical Engineering/Technology degree. Note that Candidates who are in their final year can also apply for the written test provided that the said educational qualifications will be attained by the end of the year in which the notification was released (or by that date as decided by the management). For example, for the 2010 notification, candidates who are in their final year engineering in 2010 can apply, if they get their Degree’s by the end of 2010 (or by that date as decided by the management) |

You are eligible for junior telecom officer exam of bsnl. Bsnl conduct this examination every year. The notification for the year 2011 has not declared yet but it is likely to be announce in The month of january or february 2011. Date for JTO 2011 till not published for continuing student. Notification will be published soon may be in january or february.
Only those who are studying in engineering of fourth year will be eligible to apply for this. You will be not eligible for this year. Try to apply in next year. Only a few branch of engineering are eligible for this examination. Like electronics and communication engineering, electrical engineering, computer science engineering etc. For more information on BSNL JTO visit the website www.bsnl.co.in. as you are student of 3rd year. so you are not eligible for gate 2011. and dates of JTO 2011 exam yet has not came. minimum graduation in engineering qualification is required to attain in the JTO exam. all the best............... |

i am 2011 passout B.TECH (ECE) student.BUT I AM PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED . PREVIOUSLY BSNL CONDUCT A INDIVIDUAL EXAM FOR PWD STUDENTS .I WANT TO KNOW THAT NOW THE BSNL WILL CONDUCT THE EXAM FOR PWD STUDENTS OR NOT OR AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THIS EXAM

The JTO exam is held in the month of January or february.. between these two month the JTO exam is likely to be held.. The eligibility criteria is you must have complete your B.tech in any of these mentioned stream- 1.Electronics and communication 2.Electrical 3.Computer science 4.Information Technology and you age should be less than 30 years... A candidate who is in final year of B.tech or pass out he/she can apply for JTO.. All the best.. |
