dear frnds,this is me balan.I had completed my b.pharm and working as a medical rep,now i like to study MBA but in that which dept is more helpfull for my future,pl give ur valuable ideas to me

You have various options available after B.Pharm.
If you opt for doing M.Pharm, variety of careers are available in India with high paid salaries, you can go for clinical research where salary is sky high.

If you are determined to do M.B.A only after B.Pharm, then here is one of the best institute i would suggest:

As you have done b pharmacy you should do either MBA in pharmacy or MBA in health care management both of which are related to medical profession....doing MBA in any field not related to health care is definitely not advised for you as you will then digress from your profession in that case...

Dear Balan,

See MBA is Master in Business Administration.

As of Now I guess you are working as Medical representative which means you have to go to different medical practicitioner and make them aware of the products offered by your company. If it is right, your are now working in marketing field.

So I would advise you to Go for MBA IN marketing. Which will prove helpfull if you want to continue the same field.

You can MBA in pharma itself. Institutes like IIPM, Lucknow offer MBA in pharma. If you are looking at general MBA program, you should go for 'Marketing' specialisation as you have been working as a medical representative. You can get into manager's role after your MBA.

If you want to do an MBA after completing B.Pharm, the best option for you will be MBA

in Pharma. Being a phrama graduate you will have a definite advantage. As for you career

options, you will be eligible for jobs such as Medical Representative and/or Sales

Executive with the prospect of being promoted to managerial levels within the next couple

of years. With your B.Pharm+MBA, you will also have enough scope to start an

entrepreneurial venture in this field.

plus a competating degree in mba in hopital management gives a edge to promote the medical sector far lot.

since you are doing b.pharma in the medical profile,so if you are interested in the MBA

then for that do not choose the other sector such as finance,banking or HR,

i will suggest you to choose your owns like go for the marketing field.

After completion of your B.p harm you can go for M.pharm also.

i think the better opt is mba because clinical research is not that much of scope in india if u have any plans to go abroad you just prefer clinical reasearch

if you are graduate in pharma, then why you are working in bank?
pharmaceutical industry is the best for your career. ok, this is no problem,
if you want to do distance learning programme in MBA, then i think general mba is better than pharma mba. there are so many college for this, like sikkim manipal university.

i think general mba is better than phar mba, because after phar mba you
can join only pharma field, but after general mba you can join many different types of field other than pharm field.

See my friend both are good for building a carrier. Both general M.B.A. and pharma M.B.A. are completely different things. See after completing pharma M.B.A. you can easily get a job in pharmaceutical organization. There not only pharma MBA holders but also other short term medical course students will also get chance. But in general MBA like finance, marketing, sells etc. , there also a lot of students in general MBA. But not so much as compared to pharma MBA candidates.

Another thing is that in general MBA , there must be all the candidates will be MBA persuing students or MBA completed candidates.

In my opinion it will be better to go for general MBA if you want to shine in your life compared to pharma MBA.

" M.Pharm and MBA both are different areas to start with.

Their scope is decided by your own interest that whether you wanna make your career in research, production, QA, QC or sales and marketing.

The simplest thing is that if you want to go for production or F&D- choose M.Pharm in pharmaceutics.

like wise,
M.Pharm in pharmacology- for clinical research
M.Pharm in analysis- for QA or QC
M.Pharm in chemistry- mostly R&D
M.Pharm in pharmacognosy- in ayurvedic and phyto-research
Even all above subjects are eligible to join R&D as per need.

And in MBA... Pharma MBA, MBA in healthcare management, MBA-HR are most valable as per pharma field concerned.
