Re: What are the departments that comes under MBA?
MBA is an acronym for Masters of Business Administration. It is one of the most sought after courses present in the market as of now. On the other hand there are many other stories about MBA/PGDM that you may get to hear. However, the crux of the matter is that MBAs are highly valued individuals and resources and can add a lot of value to companies and businesses.
Here is what you need to know: 1. MBA/PGDM is a 2 year full time program usually that teaches the basic and vital subjects about Management. It can only be done after a person has completed or atleast appeared in his/her final year exams for graduation. Non-Graduates CANNOT apply for the MBA Programs uniquely. 2. There are the following major specializations to choose from: Finance, HR, Marketing and Sales, Consulting, Operations and Information Systems. -> Finance deals with the financials where abouts of a company, compensation management, salary structuring and other financial works. -> HR deals with Human Resource Management, Recruiting, Laying Off, Making Settlements, Talent Acquisition and more. -> Sales and Marketing is one of the best domains to go for as it gives a lot of exposure towards branding a particular company, selling products and services and generating a lot of revenue etc. -> Consulting deals with acting as experts in certain areas of knowledge and providing valuable suggestions, consultations to clients. -> Last but not the least; IT stands for the Information Technology MBA and provides education pertaining to IT Industry. As far as automobiles is concerned, there is no specific / renowned MBA for it, however try to go for the one with sales and marketing so that you can get a job as marketing officer in any of the top automobile companies. No doubt, you can take up Finance also to get a job in finance domain in any of the automobile firms. Also note that getting a job isnt really easy these days, and so you have to get through the top MBA Colleges like IIMs, IITs, NMIMS, IMT G, XLRI, XIMB, IIFT and FMS etc to get a good placements. Kindly fill up for the top management entrances like CAT, CMAT, NMAT, XAT, SNAP, GMAT, IIFT, etc so that you stand a chance to get admission. |
