IITs offer the M.Tech admission under RA (Research Assistantship) category having 3 years duration. It's not part time course, but RA project. You can apply for admission to this course after completion of your B.E./B.Tech. If you have GATE AIR nearly to 400, then you may have good chances to be called for screening written test.
Selection - As per received applications, around 400 candidates are called for screening test on the basis of GATE AIR which is conducted in the month of May every year. - After written test, around 20 to 40 candidates are shortlisted for interview. - Shortlisted candidates will be asked to fill their preferences of projects. Interview will be conducted separately for each preference and scheduled such a way that a candidate can appear in most interviews. - After interview, Respective professors select around 20 No's more deserving candidates. Benefits of RAs - Institute RAs help to department in running laboratories and during project works. - RAs can assist in drawing tutorials. - RAs can also conduct research work in laboratories. - RAs have equal opportunities as same as TAs after completion of programme. |
