The upcoming Air force exam is AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST which is going to be held on 26th February. This examination is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force such as FLYING BRANCH, TECHNICAL BRANCH and GROUND DUTY BRANCH.


Education Qualification
Candidate applying for the above branches should be graduate in any discipline and should have a minimum of 60% marks in graduation.
It should be note that in Flying branch only the engineering students or the equivalent degree holder are eligible.
Candidate of the pre final year of engineering may apply through University entry scheme. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible for this examination.

Age Limit
FLYING BRANCH
19-23 years

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18-28 years

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
20-23 years.

AFCAT- AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST is the upcoming Indian Air Force exam which will be held on 26.02.2012. The AFCAT is conducted by Indian Air Force twice every year for entry in to:-

Flying Branch- age limit9 to 23 years

Technical Branch- age limit 18 to 28 years

Ground Duty Branch- age limit 20 to 23 years.

The candidate having graduation degree in any discipline can apply for Air Force Ground Duty Branch through AFCAT.

The candidate having engineering degree can apply for all branches through AFCAT.

> C.D.S(After graduation)

Last date of receipt of form:-30.01.2012(MONDAY)

Flying Branch:
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in any subject area with 60% Marks from a recognized University or
Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology of 4 years with 60% Marks.
Candidates must be passed 12th Examination with Maths and Physics
age Between 19 and 23 years
Physical Standard: (Male & Female) –
Height – 162.5, with correlated weight
Vision – 6/6 and 6/9

Technical Branch
Eligibility:
Degree Qualifications of 4 years from a recognized University for AE (L) and AE (M).
Final year of 4 years Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor Technology from a recognized University for AE (L) and (M) UES-2013 Entry
Age: 18 to 28 years
Physical Standard:
Height (Men) – 157.5 cms, (Women) – 152 cms with correlated weight

Ground Duty Branches
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in any subject area with 60% Marks or
PG Degree or equivalent diploma in any subject area with 50% Marks
Age: Between 20 to 23, 20 to 25, 20 to 26 and 20 to 27 years as per Qualifications
Physical Standard: Height (Men) – 157.5 cms, (Women) – 152 cms with correlated weight

Details About Indian Air Force Exam

There are various ways of joining the Indian Air Force depending on your age and qualifications :-

>> NDA(National Defence Academy)

>> CDS (Combined Defence Services)

>> AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)

Eligibility For NDA

The NDA exam is conducted every year in the months of April and August by the UPSC..

Candidates must have following qualifications for appearing for the exam :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

>> Candidate must have completed 12th with PCM as subjects from a recognized board..

Eligibility For CDS

The CDS Exam is conducted every year by the UPSC in February and September..

Candidate must have following eligibility criterion :-

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 19-23 years for Air Force Academy..

>> Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized institute..

Eligibility For AFCAT

Through AFCAT..you can apply for the following branches :-

>> Flying Branch
>> Technical Branch

Candidates can appear for AFCAT if :-

>> Candidate must have attained at least 60% in B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech.

Air-Force Upcoming Exam will be for Ground Duty Officers for various branches of Flying Wing.The service of this type of job will be of Short Service Commission.To apply for this exam,you will require to meet these Eligibility conditions :

Educational qualification (Branch Wise) :-

• Administration and Logistics - Graduation pass out in any discipline with at least 60% marks/Post Graduate degree in any discipline with 50%.

• Accounts - Graduate pass out in Commerce stream with minimum of 60%/Post Graduation degree in Commerce with 50%.

• Education - post Graduation degree in any discipline with minimum of 60%.
