Re: Do I need to choose Maths to become a chartered accountant?
Mathematics in the higher secondary level or in graduation is not required to be considered eligible for the Chartered Accountancy course, but as far as Mathematics (Quantitative Aptitude) as one of the subjects in the Common proficiency Test is concerned, it is mandatory.
So, basically, those who have qualified +2 level of examination are eligible to enroll for the Chartered Accountancy course irrespective of the subject combination and the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. In order to become a Chartered Accountant, you will have to go through the following stages: Common Proficiency Test Integrated Professional Competence Course Computer Training Final Course Articleship Training General Management course For more information, refer to the official website of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. |
