Sir/Madam, I have completed my MA with English Literature. I have also done BEd course and now interested to apply for CTET. I just want to know about the educational qualification which is required for applying in CTET?

With your qualification ( M.A+ B.Ed ) you are eligible to appear in CTET examination.

CTET examination is conducted by CBSE and after qualifying in examination you will become eligible for recruitment as teacher in government schools.

So, you must start preparation for entrance examination to get admission in the course.

Educational requirement to apply for CTET are as follows:-
Candidate must have completed B.Ed degree from a recognized university.
Candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate in B.Ed.
Candidate age should not less than 21 years.
Upper age limit is not required or mentioned yet.

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must have Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Candidate must have B.Ed degree.

Minimum age limit is 18 years.

There is no age restriction.

CTET is Central Teacher Eligibility Test and examination is conducted by CBSE for recruitment as teacher.

You are eligible to appear in examination for recruitment as PGT ( Post Graduate Teacher ).

There is no age limit to appear in examination.

Yes you can apply for PGT examination. PGT ( Post Graduate Teacher) examination is conducted by CTET.

The required eligibility to appear in entrance examination for PGT recruitment is that candidate must have master degree and also have passed B.Ed from a recognised university.

So, you can appear in examination.

1.1 Minimum qualifications for becoming a teacher for class 1-5(Primary Stage):-

1.2 Minimum qualifications for becoming a teacher for class 6-8(Elementary Stage):-

A) Completion of Graduation in D.Ed. or,

B) Completion of graduation with 50% marks in B.Ed.

2. Marks relaxation:- 5% marks for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

3. Nationality:- Indian.

4. There is no age limit.
