UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. Now, this examination will be conducted by National Testing Agency. The academic qualification required for NET exam is post graduation from a recognized university. Minimum percentage of marks required is 55%.

If master's degree done in distance then it must be approved by Distance Education council and University Grants Commission. If it is so then you can apply for UGC NET without any doubt.

The full form of UGC NET is University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. It will be conducted by National Testing body and now called NTA NET.

Eligibility criteria for NET examination:

1. You must have done master's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

2. You should have minimum of 55% marks in post graduation course.

Distance PG courses must be approved by UGC and Distance Education Council.
