Re: Eligibility for a job after MSc in Bioinformatics
Dear friend,
There are different job profiles after doing Master's in bio-informatics . You can opt for managing software sector or the genetics sector. You can join companies as software project manager,bio-informatics researcher, database designer, sequence analysts, genetic program developer etc. Look for the top software and biotech companies who recruit fresh trainees and then make them permanent. So complete your master's course, jobs will be at your door. Best of luck! |

Re: Eligibility for a job after MSc in Bioinformatics
As you are doing your Bioinformatics course so no need to worry about the job. You can get a job through campus hiring or also through offcampus hiring.
You must atleast get above 65% to be eligible to most of the jobs. Try to get in 80s if you really want to get a top job after MSc. Thats what i heard of So best of Luck and try to be the best |

Re: Eligibility for a job after MSc in Bioinformatics
For MSc Bioinformatics one has to complete BSc bioinformatics with at least 50% from a recognized University. Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai (Maharashtra); Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Bangalore (Karnataka) etc. offers this course.. Biomedical organizations, biotech organizations, pharmaceutical companies, agricultural companies, software companies and academic institutions are some of the areas where Bioinformatics aspirants can find jobs.

Re: Eligibility for a job after MSc in Bioinformatics
Really i am struggling to get a job in Bio-informatics. I would suggest to take this course only if u have any influence as the vacancies are limited and almost all the firms ask for experience.
but what i think is how the heck will someone be experienced unless u give opportunity to the freshers really the freshers life is a hell |
