Eligiblity for CSIR NET Life Sciences after doing MSc Bioinformatics?
I have done M.Sc. Bioinformatics. So Am I eligible for CSIR NET life sciences.?

Yes you are eligible for CSIR NET.
Eligibility for CSIR UGC NET entrance examination: Educational Qualification:You Must have a M.Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks and the final year Students of M.Sc. are also eligible to appear in CSIR NET exams. Age Eligibility Criteria - For Junior Research fellowship – You must be between 19 –28 years of age. For Lectureship – There is no upper age limit. You should be at least 19 years of age. I am an M.sc bioinformatics with some teaching experience in biotech subjects.After clearing my CSIR net will I be eligible to teach any lifescience subjects like genetics,Molbio or biochemistry?Or since I have bioinformatics in my PG so I can only teach BI?Please suggest.

CSIR conducts the CSIR-UGC-NET JRF/NET exam in the following subjects:
1. Chemical Sciences 2. Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences 3. Life Sciences 4. Mathematical Sciences 5. Physical Sciences Eligiblity: M.Sc or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks for General (UR) and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. |
