Can you just tell me, is there any seperate entrance exam to do my post graduation in NIT's other than GATE?

according to me there is only one entrance exam to get admission to do the M tech from the NIT's and that is the gate exam ....

but there are even other other exam taken by the private colleges to get admission in the private colleges for the M tech ........

there is no exam other than GATE to get admission in nit for doing m.tech. you will surely have to appear in gate exam if you want to do m.tech from nit

GATE is the only standard exam set by the AICTE for the admission in M.Tech

therefore you must give GATE to get admission in M.Tech

is there any criteria other tha gate for getting admission in m tech?

No other than gate you can give state university post graduate exams from where you can find seats ofcourse from colleges of that university only.

i have qualified gate exam with 88 percentile from en branch . am i elligible for doing m.tech through NIT

just now im doing m.sc.(phy). i want to take addmision for m.tech,but i had 2nd class in my ssc and hsc.marks of ssc and hsc are consider for m.tech?

which all branches are avialable for m.tech after b.tech ( instrumentation and control)

As I calculated i am getting 29 marks in GATE 2012 in IN branch. Since the paper of this year was quite tough can i hope of getting any good college?? and if yes which college i can get?
do cut off goes down? or the merit goes down if the paper is tough like 2012??
