the notifications for getting admission in mtech programs in nit are not out,once they are out you can go to website of respective nits and apply,
mtech biotechnology even offered in Andhra university,osmania university, Delhi college of engineering,jhadavpur university

According to the new admission pattern, 50 per cent of the seats in NITs should be filled with eligible candidates, who had passed Plus-2 from the respective States, he said, adding that the remaining seats would be filled on basis of all India merit list.

you need to check each individual college for their admission notifications. you have to be alert on the internet as they will not be giving u lot of time. i'll also suggest u that u apply to only those institutes where u feel u'll b getting a seat, no need to apply everywhere. and this is one thing where i also need help, as i donno which colleges should i apply where i have a scope of getting a chance................

Admissions in the NITs are done through a merit list published after the result of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).Some of the NITs such as NIT Tiruchirappalli is consistently rated among the Top Ten Engineering Colleges in India.

if you want to take admission in NIT through gate score for the m.tech course,then you have to apply for that college,
and then you can take admission in that college,

to get chance in NITs for MTech(biotech),you have to personally apply for each NIT with your gate score and percentile,for further details login to the desired NIT website and apply in the apply page

for getting into nit you have to first give aieee...i dont think they directly take students based on other entrance exam..

aieee takes all india examination
again u also appear for the entrance exams of technical fields.

my gate score is 554 and my rank is 3167.will i get an admission in nit?

i have qualified gate in maths with 221 AIR & with 94.16 percentile. which NIT college is suitable to do m.tech

i have qualified gate in ece with 1356 AIR & with 99 percentile. which NIT can I get and please tell me when the notifications are out to apply for m.tech

Dear friend yes you can apply for NIT if your rank is good ........because for IIT AND NIT all students try that's why you have to do better in GATE EXAM ...........

then you can take admission in NIT..........Because for NIT your rank should with-in 500 then you can aaply in NIT.............

Because there is too much rush and too much competition.................

Dear friend,
According to your GATE exam rank NIT shortlist candidate and give admission to GATE candidates you must have good rank to get admission to top nit's.


So fill up form properly and put up only those institutes which you can get.
The cut off details of each nit's are provide in internet you just search and see that.

TO APPLY for the NIT's you have to qualify the AIEEE with 85 to 90 percent marks then you can apply for the NIT's .
If you dont have 85 to 90 percent marks in AIEEE test then you cant apply for any NIT's

In order to take admission in NITs you have to appear at the counseling at the concerned NITs.the notifications for getting admission in NITs are not yet published.So you need to keep visiting the website regularly to keep yourself updated.
