In IES exam (Engineering services), do they have individual cut-off for objective papers out of 600 also, in addition to the total cutoff out of 1000?
If yes, then what will be the cutoff out of 600 for civil engineering in IES- (General Category) ??

The cut off marks in IES is not fix, they want certain no. of candidate & after fulfilling the no. of candidates they declare the cut off (i.e. marks of last rank candidate).

& also the cut off of Civil stream not fix.

Well, thanks for ur reply... wht i want to know is whether they do have a cutoff out of 600 (for the 3 objectives) also in addition to cutoff out of 1000 and sum minimum marks for individual papers??? My doubts are regarding existence of any cutoff out of 600...

they do have indivisual cut off marks for 3 objective papers as one of my friend have scored more than overall cut off marks but scored less than normal in one of objective paper so his conventional copy was not checked

whatever u r saying is logical, but it may be like, each obj. paper, they r having some minimum marks as cut-off, but not having a cut-off out of the sum of the three, i.e. out of 600...???

Dear it is not a predetermined procedure , it depend on number of candidates they are going to take . So it varier exam to exam .

yes from starting to posting it can take one and half year. so it is better to take placement and then try to prepare for ies.

the cutoff will be around 360-390. it will be almost same for all branches

what about the marit list in kannauj and farrukhabad distic in up for 2011? It will be stop till rank 170% of total obtained marks or what?????????
and how soon we get the result?????????????

The result of ies2011 will be declared in the last week of nov. and cutt of st will remain 300 out of 1000 and get final selection 375-400

Yes you can because IPS exam requires only graduates.Indian Police services is one of Challenging career and One of the Toughest exam of the Nation but If you clear it it offers alot...Today there is a need of Good Police Inspectors in our Nation to protect our country from Crime and other corruptions ,the minimum qualification required for this exam is Graduation in any discipline...After that only you will be elligible...Exam is categorised into three main divisions First you will have to go for Preliminary exam ..followed by mains exam and if you clear both of the exams you will be elligible for Personal interview.....The exam is very tough as I said earliar so you need to be very pakka with your subjects...along with general studies....In the end I would like to tell you give your 100% you will clear this exam...
