IES exam consist of total 1200 marks.

Selection procedure:-

It consist of written test for 1000 marks
200 marks for interview
For those shortlisted of total 1000 marks in the written test
600 marks are for objective test and conventional test

Hey frnds..i am getting 260/600 in objective and expecting 135/400 in subjective ...any chance of getting interview call?..

yes ...you will be called if your subjective is good enough to clear cut off

if i got good number in written test but my interview is bad than can i will select.

i am getting 210/600 & expected marks 100-125/400 in subjective paper I come in sc category can i get inerview call. my branch is mech. engg.

IES i.e Indian Engineering Services is a combined competitive examination is
conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the Indian
Engineering Services (IES).

It consist of total 1200 marks.

1000 for written exam 600 marks are for objective test and 400 marks for conventional
test and 200 marks is given to interview.There is .33 negative marking is present for
wrong answer.

definitely not sir...at least not this year...because i expect the cutoff to touch at least 345 this year.

dear sir,
i wrote ies exam held on 14may 2011....... marks am expecting are like this
gs eng....(57-60)/200
mech-1.....(90-100)/200..obj ppr
mech-2.....(42-45)/200....obj ppr
mech-1......(70-75)/200.....
mech-2......(62-65)/200...

it means total 190-200 in objective ppr and around 130 in subjective like this total around 325..... am in obc catg. does i hold any chance of getting interview call

Interview with Prof.Purusottam Agarwal was very very smooth only two question I can't Answer.
Could I select in final ES 2011 Result.I am an OBC candidate.
