I am in my final year bcom and would like to pursue chartered accountancy. i wouuld like to know the complete deetails regarding this course, the fee structure, the duration of the course and the required eligibility criteria with all the current updates. pease guide and also suggest the best institutes

Candidates who have completed 12th standard can apply for this course. There are 3 levels to this course. For the CPT level the fees is Rs 6000 and an additional of Rs 600 needs to be paid as exam fees. For the next level the fees is Rs 9000 and Rs 1600 is the exam fee. You will need to pay Rs 2000 towards Articled Training fees. The duration of the course will depend on how quickly clear each level. It will take a minimum of 2.5- 3 years to clear all exams if you are fully dedicated towards it.

You will not get any exemption in the CS course subjects just based on your being in CA final year

Exemptions given in papers at the CS executive Level:

General and Commercial Laws : To get exemption, you need degree in Law with minimum 50% marks or MA in Corporate Secretaryship with minimum 50% marks

Company Accounts, cost and management accounting: MBA/MCOM/B.COM you should have studied this subject and have scored minimum 50% marks

Tax Laws :MA in Corporate Secretaryship with minimum 50% marks or ICWAI Passed students.


You will also not get any exemption in the ICWAI course PAPERS

CPT (Common Proficiency Test):

-Prospectus Rs. 100
-Registration fee Rs. 6000
-Exam fee Rs. 600

ITT (Information Technology Training) :

-Total fee Rs. 4000
-Orientation fee Rs. 3000

-Prospectus Rs. 100
-Registration fee Rs. 10000
-Exam fee Rs. 1600
