This is both prestigious and financially rewarding post. The role of a CS is that of a legal adviser. You will need to advise the board on various areas like corporate laws, shareholders rights etc. Any company which has a share capital more than 50 lakhs will need to appoint a company secretary. So you can find opportunities all the sectors.

After completion of cs you can become a legal adviser , the MNC companies who have lot of shear in the market can appoint you as a legal adviser or secretary of there company.

Company secretary has a great scope of employment in Private companies, consulting firms, financial institutions, banks, Department of company affairs and other regulatory bodies.
The three levels of a Company Secretary Courses are: Foundation Courses : It is a basic-level course that is of eight-month duration and the eligibility criteria a include passing the 10+2 examinations. Intermediate Courses : The duration of the Intermediate Course is nine months and once you clear the Foundation Course of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or ICWAI, ICAI or have earned a Bachelors / Master's degree, you can enroll for the course. Final Courses : Once you complete and clear the intermediate course, you are eligible for the Final course. |
