Its based on your wish but i suggest you to go in Embedded field because it even VLSI needs embedded design....

Re: Which field is better between VLSI and Embedded in future?
Both VLSI and Embedded system are very good.both have different scopes.
According to me Embedded system is most demanded todays.Embedded system is combination of both hardware and software.in Edbedded system design you design hardware and do programming for that hardware.thus you will connect with both hardware and software.combination of hardware and software is very good. For embedded system you also be intrested in computer language.without kowledge of computer language you can't get success in embedded system.scope in embedded system are very much. VLSI is also very good subject.if you are not intrested in computer language you can choose VLSI.in VLSI you only design circuit there is no need of computer language.VLSI subject is suitable for those students which are intrested in circuit design not intrested in language. VLSI also has very much scope because for any system circuit design is must.without circuit you can't design harware. So you have to choose subject according to your intrest both subject are very good. |

Re: Which field is better between VLSI and Embedded in future?
First of all i would like to tell you what is difference between VLSI and embedded system.
VLSI deals with "How to make a design" whereas Embedded system deals with "How to use a design".Both the fields are best at their own but VLSI companies are less and you require very deep knowledge of simulation softwares such as Xililn. So better to go for embedded systems as there are many companies and you can get job eaisly and you should just have basic knowledge of C,C++ and 8051instructions.Moreover compared to VLSI, scope is also good. "All the best" |

Re: Which field is better between VLSI and Embedded in future?
The scope is good as long as you have interest in this stream. It is far better than those routine boring IT jobs.
If you love electronics and ready to face challanges VLSI is the way to go.The job stability is good as well. The demand for the VLSI designers is quite high in order to develop System-on-chip and Application Specific Integrated Circuits. With the Indian market scenario looking good, the scope for a VLSI design professional is bound to grow and you will have a bright future. |
