Sir,
I have done BE in mechanical from Nagpur University. Now I want to take one year brake for GATE preparation by joining GATE coaching classes.
So, is it fine to take a year gap for coaching classes ? (since there are some companies which don't want any gap between education).
Also tell me some name of some GATE coaching classes in India.

Please reply urgently.

No, its not necessary that a one year Gap is must while preparing for GATE.It all depends upon the capacity of the student that how much HE is capable to do the preparation.And about the companies,the companies preferred only the skill & knowledge of the candidate regarding HIS qualification Gap.
To take a one year gap for preparation of GATE exam is a good decision as you can get a good score if pays your full attention for the preparation of this exam.

Clearing GATE paper is an uphill task but if you clear with a great All India Rank, one year gap will not affect your career, because clearing gate paper requires a sound technical knowledge which is the foremost thing needed from you by the recruiter

is it not fine to take a gap but if u want to join a better institute then a year gap is better option. it is not true that companies are not hiring individual with a gap

during campus interviews i've seen that some companies ask for students with no gap in studies

I have done my B.E in information science.
I would like to take GATE.
Pls suggest me the appropriate books to study.

I am targetting for good score for Gate 2013, max 2014.
I am working for a company.
So, will taking of coaching classes be advisable or self study is a good option.

If coaching classes are good option, out of ur experience, pls suggest me good ones in bangalore.
Pls share ideas.

Sir, I am a btech 6th sem electrical student.
I want to drop one year after the completion of my btech for gate preparation. Is it a right decision .
Will dropping a year affect my career or should I join coaching in 4th year itself.
What are the demerits and merits of dropping a year after btech.
