We cannot predict which type of topics will be asked for GD before entering into the Group Discussion because group discussion can be divided in 2 different types, they are..

-> Topic-based

-> Case-based.

And again Topic-based Gds can be classified into three differnt types :-

-> Factual Topics - Its about the practical things which we are aware of around the environment. For eg. India a growing nation?

-> Controversial Topics - Its about the topics which are argumentative where we wont end up in a proper result. For eg. IPL providing better cricket.

-> Abstract Topics - Its about the topics which gives no proper meaning but mostly it wont be asked in GD. For eg. Apple is red in color.

-> Case - Based GD - Its about the topics which is based on particular situation where we have to find the proper solution.

So as you can see the GD can be made in any of these types.. As you are attending GD for West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited it might fall with topic-based GD....
